Health & Safety Disclaimer
Mind Matter is a wellness and self-reflection tool operated by Mind Matter LLC. It is not a medical device, it is not health care, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
1. No medical care, no clinician relationship
Nothing in this app — including mood tracking, journaling, educational programs, assessment scores, analytics, insights, notifications, or conversations with the AI character "Dr. Bandura" — constitutes medical advice, psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, or treatment. Using Mind Matter does not create a doctor–patient, therapist–client, or any other professional relationship between you and Mind Matter LLC or anyone else. Mind Matter is designed as a general wellness product intended to promote self-awareness and healthy habits.
2. Screening tools are not diagnoses
The questionnaires in this app (such as the PHQ-9 and GAD-7) are standardized screening instruments used widely in clinical practice — but a score in this app is a screening indicator only. Screening instruments can produce results that do not reflect your actual condition. Only a licensed clinician, through proper evaluation, can diagnose a mental health condition. Never use a score from this app to start, stop, or change any medication or treatment. Never disregard professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of anything in this app.
3. About the AI
"Dr. Bandura" is an artificial-intelligence character, not a person, not a licensed professional, and not under the supervision of one. AI systems can be wrong, can miss important context, and can produce responses that sound confident but are inaccurate or inappropriate for your situation. AI-generated insights, reflections, session notes, and suggestions are for self-reflection only. You are responsible for evaluating anything the AI says and for the decisions you make.
4. If you are in crisis
Mind Matter cannot monitor you in real time and cannot respond to emergencies. If you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or you are in immediate danger, act now:
- Call or text 988 — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US).
- Contact your local crisis line — the app shows the helpline for the country you selected, or find one at findahelpline.com.
- Text HOME to 741741 — the Crisis Text Line.
- Call 911 (or your local emergency number) if there is an immediate threat to life.
- Outside the US, contact your country's local crisis line or emergency services.
5. Your responsibility
By using Mind Matter you acknowledge that you understand these limitations, that you use the app at your own discretion, and that you remain responsible for your own health decisions — including seeking care from qualified professionals when you need it. If anything in the app ever conflicts with advice from your clinician, follow your clinician.
